Custodianship Declaration

$45

Per Seal + Extra charge over 10 pages

When a child under 17 years old is going to study in Canada, the Canadian government requires them to have a designated adult as their custodian. The custodian is responsible for looking after the child's well-being while they are studying in Canada.

To appoint a custodian, the parents or legal guardian of the child must sign the Custodian Declaration Form and have it notarized. If both parents are not in the same country, they will need to sign separate forms and have them notarized. The custodian also needs to sign the form in front of a Canadian notary public.

It's important to keep in mind that the child must apply for a study permit if they will be studying in Canada for more than 6 months. It's a good idea to speak with an immigration specialist to make sure all requirements are met.

At Royal Seal Notary Public in Oshawa, we have experience notarizing Custodian Declaration Forms. Contact us at 647-704-7703 or hello@theroyalseal.ca to book an appointment or ask any questions you may have.
